Dans sa pratique, Dimitri Vangrunderbeek (1964 Bruxelles), questionne le processus de transformation des objets quotidiens et des œuvres d’art, tout en examinant la manière avec laquelle les objets interagissent avec leur environnement. La présentation à Netwerk est une installation complète qui commence avec la spatialité des objets, leurs nouvelles lectures possibles et le processus par lequel ils acquièrent une autonomie.
Dealing with Ordinary Form est aussi la forme que prend la dernière phase du PhD de Vangrunderbeek à l’Université de Melbourne.
Parallèlement à cette exposition, le livre de l’artiste, Through and Through, sera publié par ARA / MER. Paper Kunsthalle, en co-production avec Netwerk et la Faculté d’Architecture de l’Université Catholique de Louvain.

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), School of Architecture and Design and the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture have been working intensively together to develop creative practice research.
