De Kijkdichtheid van de Hemel

Koyaanisqatsi (Godfrey Reggio)
1982, 86', blue ray
‘Koyaanisqatsi’ is derived from the language of the Hopi Indians en means as much as ‘Life unbalanced’. According to the film humanity has become its own technology: all human activity is directed by the technology they created. This hypnotic image-essay from 1982 - an experiment with light, speed, sound and colour, assembled on the tones of music by Philip Glass - is a hallucinatory audio-visual experience without plot or comments.
+ Experimental films:
Urban Episodes (Steina Vasulka, 1980, US, 9’)
Pastorale (Stan Vanderbeek, 1965, US, 10’)
