Strapping Fieldhands

Strapping Fieldhands from Philadelphia are one of the bands that developed the indie lo-fi genre of the nineties. Together with bands as Sebadoh, Guided By Voices and The Grifters, the band around Bob Malloy set the tone for a new era of uncompromising rock music. Sometimes they sound like the perfect front porch pop band, but then again they rock like an updated version of The Holy Modal Rounders or The Fugs. In 2003 the band split up, but recently they regrouped for some shows in their hometown. The Fieldhands never played outside the Americas, so this is their European debut!
