Dans la maison
François Ozon
François Ozon with Fabrice Luchini, Kristin Scott Thomas and Emmanuelle Seigner - French spoken - 113 '
Germain is a teacher at a secondary school in a sleepy French village. His pupils and their underperformance drive him to despair, until he reads the short story "In the house" by Claude, one of his students. The story depicts a sixteen-year-old boy who broke into the house of a classmate’s family. Germain encourages Claude to write further. The only way to finish the story, however, is to enter the house of his classmate. Why is Claude so obsessed with the house? What's he doing there? And what happens to his fascination with the sensual mother of his classmate? Germain becomes increasingly mesmerized by the story, leading to a series of uncontrollable events where reality and fiction seem to fuse together.
Dans la maison is François Ozon’s rock-solid follow-up to the successful Potiche and his first collaboration with Kristin Scott Thomas.
