Netwerk sets the summer mood with a festive event entailing performances, concerts, dj sets, a movie program ... and a delicious barbecue.
Orchestra of Spheres are four New Zealanders that throw African rhythms, electronics, krautrock, free jazz, Kuduro beats, gamelan, theremin and more exotic in gredients in a pot in order to brew an ethnopsychedelic space party that has no equal.
The hypnagogic lofi-nauts of Sun Araw Band travelled to Jamaica to jam together with the legendary roots dubgroup, the Congos. the result is the album, Give Thank Icon, a scintillating and soulful dubtrip: direction the sun.
Cameron Stallones aka Sun Araw will plays his favorite dub records as Duppy Gun Soundsystem.
Kurt Ryslavy is a parttime painter, art collector and the importer of austrian wines to Belgium. the exhibition displays a scale model of his house, situated on the border of Koekelberg and and Molenbeek. This vibrant habitat also forms the basis of Ryslavy’s performance, where the tasting of delicious Austrian wines is obviously not to be missed.
The screening program Film+ combines beautiful music documentaries: Icon Eye (Tony Lowe and Sam Fleischner) captured the recording sessions of Sun Araw Band and the Congos in Jamaica; Anton Corbijn Inside Out (Klaartje Quirijns) is a shocking portrait of the music photographer and filmmaker.
